La Barceloneta

La Barceloneta is one of the most popular and charismatic neighborhoods in Barcelona. It is a maritime neighborhood full of magic and history that is located in Port Vell district. The shape of the neighborhood is triangular and borders with the Port Olimpic, Ronda Litoral and the sea, including the beaches of Barceloneta, Somorrostro, Sant Sebastià and Sant Miquel. La Barceloneta is a coastal neighborhood where locals go to surf and sunbathe on Sant Sebastià beach, and to eat in seafood restaurants and in traditional tapas bars. The Port Olímpic complex, which is connected to the beach by a long palm-lined promenade, are packed with luxurious yachts. The port cable car offers panoramic views of the city on its way to Montjuïc mountain.
