Cabo de las Huertas
Cabo de las Huertas belongs to the municipality of Alicante. It is an area very close to the town centre where endangered birds, some reptiles and a curious vegetation that has adapted very well to the peculiarities of this terrain can be found. The cape is named after the old beach that stretched as far as El Campello and which lost its name when El Campello separated from Alicante, receiving the name of Playa de San Juan which belongs to the municipality of Alicante and Playa de Muchavista which belongs to El Campello. The cape, however, kept its name. The neighbourhood is bordered to the northeast by the beach of San Juan, to the east and south by the Mediterranean Sea and to the west and north by the neighbourhoods of Albufereta and Playa de San Juan.
