Benimodo
Benimodo is a municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain, belonging to the province of Valencia, in the Ribera Alta region. The origin of Benimodo dates back to Muslim times, although it was not until the Reconquest that its true development as a Christian town began. During the War of Independence, the municipality suffered the effects of the clashes between the Spanish and French troops, and during the Civil War it was the scene of various combats.
Among the main attractions of Benimodo, its historical-artistic complex stands out, with cobbled streets and traditional Valencian-style houses, as well as its parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, which dates from the 18th century and has a baroque-style bell tower.
In addition, the municipality is known for its agricultural production, especially oranges and tangerines, and for its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen del Rosario, which take place in October and are especially popular with residents and visitors.
