Carcaixent
The municipal term is located between the right bank of the Júcar river, the Valley of Living Waters and the Mountains of the Convent.The city of Carcaixent is the most important nucleus of the municipality, which also gives it its name.
With regard to the orography, it can be said that it is irrigated by the Júcar river and its tributaries Magro, Verde and Barcheta, and also by the Real Acequia de Carcaixent. The term is mostly flat, and extends through the geographic unit that forms the Júcar valley, which is transformed from the city towards the east into a mountainous terrain with the Sierra de Corbera and Sierra de las Agujas. The soil is quaternary, originated by alluvium from the Júcar river, with mountains of calcareous rock.
