Esporles - Puigpunyent - Estellencs - Banyalbufar
Esporles is one of the most popular and beloved towns in the north of Mallorca, gateway to the Serra de Tramuntana in the inner foothills. Neighboring Puigpunyent, Valldemossa and Banyalbufar, Port d'es Canonge or s'Esgleieta and the UIB (Universitat de les Illes Balears) and Parc Bit, the Balearic Silicon Valley, its road connections with the rest of the island make Esporles and its municipality are a magnet for Majorcans, residents and visitors. Stone houses, steep alleys, the stream, its path flanked by mature banana trees are worth a good walk and carefully observe its impeccable "marges" or dry stone walls carved by hand to create the famous terraces that plant the Tramontana mountains. The Esporles market is held on Saturdays, creating a good opportunity to visit, in passing, the museum of La Granja de Esporles, the winery and mountain of Es Verger and stroll along its trails and paths, all just 15 minutes from Palma.
