Faura
Faura is a municipality located in the Campo de Morvedre region, in the province of Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain. It is located about 30 kilometers north of the city of Valencia.
The municipality has a population of around 2,800 inhabitants and an area of 8.2 square kilometers. It borders to the north with Estivella, to the east with Benavites, to the south with Benifairó de les Valls and to the west with Sagunto.
Faura has a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers. The landscape is dominated by mountains and hills covered with Mediterranean vegetation.
Regarding its economy, it has traditionally been based on agriculture, mainly on the cultivation of citrus and olive trees. However, in recent years, there has been growth in the industry and the service sector. In the cultural sphere, Faura has several places of interest, such as the parish church of Saint Mary Magdalene, which dates back to the 18th century, and the hermitage of San Apolinar, built in the 17th century. Various festivities are also celebrated throughout the year, such as the patron saint festivities in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi in October.
