El Campello
It is a coastal municipality in the province of Alicante in the Valencian Community, located 13 kilometers northeast of the city of Alicante. It is part of the Alicante agglomeration and is included in the historic region of Huerta de Alicante. Tourism is one of the axes of its economic activity.
The municipality has 23 km of coastline, highlighting Muchavista beach (which is the name given to the continuation of San Juan beach, belonging to Alicante, in the municipality of El Campello) and the one located in the municipality itself. urban area. Halfway between the two beaches, the Monnegre River, called the Seco River, flows into the Huerta de Alicante, whose flow as it passes through El Campello is usually zero, although it can carry violent currents of water in times of heavy rain (floods).
