Jerónimos
Los Jerónimos is in the Retiro district. In it, is the Church of the Jerónimos, from where comes its name. It was created from 1865, on lands that belonged to the disappeared Real Site of Buen Retiro and that they were sold to the State by Queen Isabel II, to be urbanized. In this neighborhood are some of the most well known and visited monuments of the city such as the Prado Museum, la Bolsa de Madrid, Palacio de Comunicaciones, Jardín Botánico, Anthropology Museum, National Astronomical Observatory, Retiro Park, La Armada, the Royal Academy of Language, and hotels as emblematic as the Ritz.
