The average price of luxury housing in Spain rose 7% year-on-year in the first half of the year to 6,500 euros per square meter, according to a report by the French sales and rental group Barnes.
In cities such as Barcelona and Madrid, as well as in the Catalan Costa Brava, the Andalusian Costa del Sol, the Valencian coastline and the Balearic Islands, the increase in prices of luxury homes exceeded 10% year-on-year to June.
According to Barnes, to continue the current sales pace during the second half of the year, 2017 will close with an average increase of 10% in luxury home sales, with year-on-year increases that will reach even 20% in very dynamic areas.
