For the first time ever, the Casa Batlló is offering musical evenings as part of the Magic Nights on the Dragon’s Rooftop series. A distinguished option which combines live music, drinks and culinary tastings with the chance to visit the building beforehand. The terrace of La Pedrera will fill with live jazz as part of the Nits d’estiu series, with performers from around the world as well as local artists. The activity includes a visit to the ‘Espai Gaudí’, a visual tour of the work of the singular architect, and a drink.
Blues, jazz, flamenco and world music are on offer in summer at the Torre Bellesguard as part of the Nits Gaudí series. A total of 47 concerts are scheduled and include the likes of Mishima, Andrea Motis and Jarabe de Palo.
Outdoor cinema
This Friday sees the start of the Sala Montjuïc summer programme with the screening of the film 10,000 km at the Fossat de Santa Eulàlia, at Montjuïc Castle. Sixteen nights of films await, and include classic works as well as more recent films. A concert and a short film will get things warmed up prior to each screening.
Grec Festival de Barcelona
Theatre, dance, music, circus, hybrid and multi-format shows. A total of a hundred cultural offerings make up the 39th edition of the Grec Festival de Barcelona, which is beefed up this year with 17 international acts more than last year and 36 brand new shows.
