The price of these properties will also rise between 5% and 10%, with an average price of 6,500 euros per square meter. By areas, those with a greater demand are Turó Park, the Sarrià neighborhood and the right side of L'Eixample.

The market for high-end properties in Barcelona is constantly evolving. The local buyer has more and more money to invest in housing thanks to the recovery of the economy in Spain and the city is a magnet for foreign buyers because of its competitive prices and good weather.
During this year, the upward trend that has been taking place since 2014 will be confirmed and will result in an increase in the number of operations and an optimal balance between supply and demand.
In this sense, the Spanish buyer will gain presence in the luxury market of Barcelona, with 25% of purchases in 2017 (in 2016 represented 20% of the total), while foreign buyers will hold the remaining 75%.
By nationality, French, British, German, Italian, Belgian and American will be, in this order, the main investors in luxury housing in the City of Barcelona.
