The price of housing registered an increase of 7.6% in 2017, continuing the increase observed in the last quarters, and recorded a quarterly increase of 19.8% from October to December, according to the Real Estate Register Statistics published by the College of Registrars. from Spain.
The increase confirms the upward trend in house prices, so that the pace of growth in recent quarters leaves the index falling by 21% from the maximum levels, marked in 2007. On the contrary, with respect to the Recent 2017 minimums accumulate an increase of 20.9%.
The four quarters of the year have registered more than 110,000 operations per tranche, "something that has not happened since 2008," the Registrars point out. In total, there are 464,223 homes sold.
Unlike in previous years where used housing grew while the new one decreased, the behavior of both has been upward. In fact, 80,765 new home purchases (+ 11.27%) and 383,458 new homes (+ 15.79%) have been registered.
All autonomous communities have presented increases in purchases. At the head, Castilla-La Mancha (23.1%), Asturias (20.7%), Madrid (19.1%) and Comunidad Valenciana (17.8%) have been located. In addition, in thirteen autonomous communities growth rates have reached double digits.
